About Me

As an educator, leader, and scholar, I am driven by a fundamental belief in the power of education to transform lives. My journey—from a first-generation college student to a full professor and administrator—has been guided by a passion for cultivating academic success and fostering thriving educational communities. My expertise lies in strategic program development with a focus on developing leaders at every level. Through my work as a faculty member and a national and university leader, I am dedicated to creating impactful learning experiences and championing initiatives that promote leadership, equity and well-being for all members of the academic community.

My Story, Our Purpose

My journey began at Colorado State University as a first-generation college student. That experience profoundly shaped my perspective, igniting a passion to ensure that every student, regardless of their background, feels a sense of belonging on campus. It’s why my career has always been focused on transforming academic environments and creating opportunities for others to thrive.

My professional work is an extension of my life’s purpose, a mission that comes alive in and out of the university. When I’m not focused on securing strategic funding or developing high-impact programs, I am a wife and a mom, and you can often find me in the kitchen, cooking for my family or enjoying a great glass of wine. Just as the best dishes are a blend of simple, well-chosen ingredients, I believe the most successful educational communities are built by intentionally bringing together diverse voices and perspectives to create something truly nourishing for everyone. It’s this fusion of personal passion with professional practice that motivates me to build communities where excellence and empathy go hand-in-hand.
